Trading and Website Terms and Conditions

a’Beckett’s Vineyard “the company” is a UK based company and any subsequent disputes or claims arising from using the a’Beckett’s Vineyard website are to be governed by English Law.

Use of the a’Beckett’s Vineyard website implies acceptance to the terms and conditions of using the site, which we may from time to time vary.

Products on the a’Beckett’s Vineyard website are always subject to availability, and, if they are then found to be unavailable once an order request is placed, you will be informed within 4 working days.

The domain name www.abecketts.co.uk is wholly owned by a’Beckett’s Vineyard, High Street, Littleton Panell, Devizes, Wiltshire SN10 4EN.

Indemnity:

You agree to indemnify a’Beckett’s Vineyard and its related companies, affiliates, employees, agents and representatives, and not to hold them liable for all reasonable damages, losses, taxes, duties, fees, expenses, claims and liabilities (including lawyers’ fees) that may arise from the use of the a’Beckett’s Vineyard website.

Unless we state otherwise, you may view, download and print content on our site for domestic and personal purposes, to place an order, or to use this site as an information resource. Business Names and Trading Marks and Names

a’Beckett’s Vineyard Limited claims ownership and use to the term a’Beckett’s in respect of all or any branding or product marketing undertaken in the UK, Europe and the USA, the name dates to 1454 .  Other trading names used by the company including Wiltshire Cider, Wiltshire Apple Juice or Wiltshire Cordials are also the property of the company.  The use of the name Langham as a business, brand name or web domain name in respect of a range of products or services including but not exclusively cider or apple juice is also reserved by the company and its directors.

The terms a’Beckett’s and logo are registered trade marks of the company these two trade marks are registered with the Intellectual Property Office in classes 32 and 33

Conditions of Sale

All items sold online comply with any relevant distance selling regulations, equally the purchaser has to be legally able to purchase alcohol in the UK and have appropriate means of payment.  All goods remain the property of a’Beckett’s Vineyard until paid for.  Where delivery is made a’Beckett’s Vineyard will not be held liable for late delivery or any losses or damages to the ordered product.  If you are not at home when the delivery is made unless the courier has a redeliver option the goods will be left at the premises in the most appropriate place available to the courier that does not mean they would need to trespass upon the property.

Trade Terms

a’Beckett’s Vineyard may offer trade terms to customers as follows; the initial order and any number of subsequent orders are to be paid for in full at point of order or physical delivery of the goods.  Where agreed to by “the company” a credit period of no more than 21 days may be offered to customers.  All goods supplied by “the company” remain the property of the company until cleared funds have reached the company’s bank account.

Revision of Prices:

a’Beckett’s Vineyard reserves the right to amend retail and trade prices without notice but it is normal practice to amend prices either post budget (usually April each year) or at the release of a new vintage.

Indemnity:

a’Beckett’s Vineyard will ensure best endeavours so that the wines, ciders and apple juices will be of satisfactory quality and fit for their general purpose.  If the wine, cider and apple juice is not stored in appropriate conditions after purchase it is likely that the wine will not be of satisfactory quality “the company” cannot be held responsible for the condition of the wine should the storage of the wine be established as not suitable.

Other than as stated elsewhere within the terms and conditions of the a’Beckett’s Vineyard website, all guarantees conditions, terms and undertakings, expressed or implied, whether by statute, common law, custom, trade usage, course of dealings or otherwise, in respect of the goods and services provided by us hereunder and hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law, nothing in this agreement shall affect, exclude or limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

Where goods are supplied to a business customer our liability in the event of a fault in the product or manufacturing process shall extend to no more than the individual unit price of the affected items.  The Company shall not be liable for any subsequent losses including but not limited loss of profit or additional contribution that a business customer might obtain from onward sale of our products.

Age Restriction:

You must be aged 18 years old or over to purchase alcohol. All deliveries must be signed for by someone aged 18 years or over.

Tour and Events:

We will provide tours along with wine tastings and food subject to agreed terms and for the stated prices which are detailed on the wine tour page on the website.  Tours if cancelled within 24 hours of the tour date maybe subject to a charge at our discretion, tours booked but not taken up will need to be paid for in full and you will be invoiced for the cost of the tour.

Vineyard tour vouchers that can be purchased from our website have a 12 month life and after that time has expired the voucher will no longer be valid or have any redeemable value.  All personal vineyard tour vouchers must be used by 31/12/2023, as stated on the voucher they have no cash alternative.
